Michele Matsuda

Mr. Michele MATSUDA Director of Kulele LLC. (2024) Mr. Matsuda is a director of Kulele LLC, a company based in the State of Hawaii, is focused on growing and supporting the manufacturing and distribution of safe and quality HEMP products. Mr. Matsuda continues to be involved in providing cross border financial advice to clients in the USA, Japan and the rest of Asia and has over 25 years of Financial and Business Operational experience in Asia. He is currently primarily based in the State of Hawaii and continues to develop renewable energy projects. In 2010 to 2018 was based in Hong Kong where he served as CEO of the S.I. Investments Group, which was based in Hong Kong with offices in Japan and Macau. During this period, he focused on Gaming Development projects in Asia, WeChat payment services in Japan, Foreigner employment services to the Japanese Market and developed Mega Solar Power Plants in Japan. Mr. Matsuda started his professional career with Nishimoto Trading Company a Japan based company with a network in the USA and Europe., Nishimoto is an importer and exporter of Japanese products. Mr. Matsuda was instrumental in expanding their New Jersey, USA based operations from Canada to Florida. Mr. Matsuda started his Wall Street Career at Nomura Securities International Limited in 1986. He was a former Director of Technology of the Nomura Holding Company Limited and Director of the Real Estate Division of Nomura Securities from 1986 to 1996. Subsequently, he co-founded his private telecom business in Japan and Hong Kong in 1997 together with Mr. Darren Shaw (The Shaw Group) and other partners. He then created one of Japan first cross border Credit Card Clearing services, then by combining this with his telecom businesses he was able to use both platforms as a billing solution for distributing media content. This network covered most of Asia, USA, and the United Kingdom. He was also the former Chairman of a Hong Kong-listed company, Sun Innovation Holdings Limited (HKEX: 547) and President of a Japan-listed company, e-Lux Corporation (JASDAQ: 6811), which were involved in real estate, investments and media distribution. He then returned to Investment Banking with Macquarie Capital in Japan from 2007 to 2010. He played a major role in starting up their Investment Banking business in Japan. In the past five years has been focused on renewable energy projects as developer, adviser, and management, in Asia and Hawaii.
